WHAT SHOULD I SAY?????
SOMETIMES IT IS DIFFICULT FOR ME TO KNOW
WHAT EXACTLY I SHOULD SAY AS I START THIS LETTER TO YOU. For
instance--should I start by telling you of the wonderful annual meeting of THE
DEAN BURGON SOCIETY that was held in HAGERSTOWN, MARYLAND, July 18-19? (It's
all recorded & is "streamed"--a blessing, by the way.) Or should I tell you
about our HOME CHURCH and the recent sermons in the book of EPHESIANS,
PHILIPPIANS & COLOSSIANS that Pastor Waite has been giving to our CHURCH? (All
of these messages can be yours on DVD, cassette, or VHS-video by calling
1-800-John 10:9.) OR SHOULD I TELL YOU OF THE EVER-INCREASING E-MAILS & LETTERS
TELLING OF THE BLESSING PEOPLE HAVE FROM THE INTERNET SERMONS & MEETINGS? OR
SHOULD I TELL YOU ABOUT THE FINANCIAL NEED THAT OUR MINISTRY IS IN RIGHT NOW?
PLEASE HELP US!
NOW THAT I'VE
BROUGHT THAT UP--I THINK I'LL TELL YOU HOW WE NEED YOUR HELP TO COVER OUR BFT
BILLS. We have them, you know. (I'm not referring to Dr. Waite's and
my bills. We do not take money from any of our ministries--NOT EVEN EXPENSE
MONEY--nor from all the book money from book tables or your orders. The funds
go right back into the ministry.)
THERE ARE BILLS TO
PAY!
SOMETIMES, I
THINK THAT YOU MAY FEEL, BECAUSE THE MINISTRY IS IN OUR HOME & THE CHURCH MEETS
IN OUR HOME, THAT THERE ARE NO BILLS TO BE PAID. Dr. Waite and I help
very much financially--yes we do; but we cannot do it all. We have to live
also!
FIVE
THOUSAND DOLLARS NEEDED
TO PAY BACK THE BIBLE
FUND
JUST
YESTERDAY, MY HUSBAND TOLD ME THAT OUR BFT TREASURER, HAD TO BORROW $5,000 FROM
THE BIBLE-PUBLISHING FUND, AS WELL AS OTHER FUNDS, TO PAY THE BILLS.
Yes, he did. The bill collectors were upon us! It upsets me, for I know that
when it is time to republish Ths Defined King James Bible, we may not have the
money to pay for it. We republish The DKJ BIBLE at least once a year--at least
it seems that way to me that a big truck backs into our driveway with a load of
Bibles. The DKJ Bible is printed in South Korea and that company wants to be
paid within 30 days of delivery. I don't blame them, do you?
GOD IS FAITHFUL
EVERY TIME
THE BIBLES HAVE COME, GOD HAS BROUGHT IN THE MONEY. Usually I don't make
a plea for the funds for the Bibles or much of anything; but, I am constrained
to do so today.
A LITTLE BROWN BAG
CAME OUR WAY
One time several years ago, I think it may have been the second or third
printing, we needed $9,000 to pay for a Bible delivery. WE DID NOT HAVE IT! I
thought we would have to mortgage our house! But God brought in $10,000 in a
little brown-paper candy bag when a man, whom we did not know personally at the
time, knocked at our door and said, "Here is something that might help you to
pay for the Bibles." I did not know what to do. I was afraid to hold the bag
and called my husband, leaving the man standing there in the hall. I felt like
the disciples in the book of Acts who prayed for Peter to be let out of prison
and then couldn't believe it when he stood there at the door before her.
WHERE IS YOUR HEART?
HOST PASTOR,
J. PAUL RENO, AT THE RECENT DEAN BURGON SOCIETY MEETING THERE IN HAGERSTOWN,
MARYLAND, MADE AN ARRESTING COMMENT WHEN HE WAS ASKING THE DBS PEOPLE TO GIVE TO
THE OFFERING. He said that most of us care about our money--our
treasure--VERY MUCH. In fact, we care about it so much that where it is (our
money) that is EXACTLY where are hearts are. Pastor Reno reminded us that Jesus
taught this TREASURE/HEART TRUTH. It was not new truth. But I had not heard
this exhortation for a long, long time. My husband, in our church, seldom talks
about money--usually ONLY in regard to our missionary giving. Then it is so
subtle, one doesn't get it if one doesn't care. Perhaps that is why all people
may not give liberally. I don't know. Everyone does not know about hilarious
giving.
BOAT? BUSINESS?
EDUCATION? CLOTHES? YARD? MATE?
IF OUR MONEY
(our treasure) IS IN A BOAT AT THE SHORE, THAT'S WHERE OUR HEARTS ARE. SO, THAT
IS WHERE WE ARE ON WEEKENDS. If our money (our treasure) is in our
business, that is where our hearts are. So it is no surprise to find ourselves
at the place of business or thinking about the business all the time. If our
money (our treasure) is in our children's education, that is where our hearts
are. We keep in contact with the school, or the books, or the campus, or the
children all the time. We make any excuse to be at that institution or call on
the phone constantly. If our money (our treasure) is in our clothes, that is
where our hearts are. We are consumed in what we are wearing and the latest
fashions constantly. We have a huge clothing budget! If our money (our
treasure) is in our yards, that is where our hearts are. Should we seed that
bare area? Does this other brown spot need more water? If our money (our
treasure) is in our mates, to the extent that we cannot think of anything else,
that is where our hearts are. We could go on and on. It touches home, doesn't
it?
ONE MORE THING!
NOW I WANT TO
SAY ONE MORE THING--I think. When God supplies this $5,000 from you or a
friend, WE WON'T be OUT OF THE RED. You
see, THE BIBLE FOR TODAY HAS SALARIES TO PAY.
(That is why we can't pay our bills.) So the salaries keep going on and on.
More bills come in day after day. We'll go into debt more and more. So our
friends who are so blessed by the BFT ministry (I am not talking about the
church now) must HELP US!
I CAN'T TELL
YOU HOW MANY E-mails Dr. Waite RECEIVES DAILY. He answers every one of
them. You know this if you are one of the correspondents. Once in a while, AN
OCCASIONAL SOMEONE contributes to the cause. Hardly ever! We have huge
computer problems at times. Right now there is a big computer change with
servers, etc. etc. (I don't even know how to talk the talk.) All that costs
money! Between that and the salaries. . . .
WHEN WE WERE
AT THIS LAST DEAN BURGON SOCIETY MEETING IN HAGERSTOWN, PEOPLE KEPT TELLING THE
AUDIENCE HOW MUCH DR. WAITE HAS DONE FOR THEM IN THE BIBLE'S TEXTUAL MATTERS.
It's true. He has given himself to this Bible textual cause. But who
will come over and help us financially? Just asking, that's all. I am a
concerned wife for the financial health of THE BIBLE FOR TODAY.
MATTHEW 6: 18b-21;24
JESUS SAID
. . . Thy father, which seeth in
secret, shall reward thee openly. Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon
earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and
steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor
rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. . .No man
can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or
else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and
*mammon.
*THE DEFINED KING JAMES BIBLE tells us that
"MAMMON is an Aramaic word for riches, money, wealth; sometimes
personified as a false god or an object of worship; often regarded as an evil
influence."
A DECISION!
I'VE MADE A
DECISION! I AM NOT GOING TO WRITE ANY MORE PAGES. Even though, I
really want to tell you about the excellent DEAN BURGON WOMEN'S meeting; but I
won't. Ask for the DVD or audio tape! I want you to know that Dr. Waite's talk
on BIBLE FALSEHOODS OF MICHAEL SPROUL was outstanding--BUT I won't go into it
now. Before him was PASTOR KEN RAINEY from Greenville, SC. It was his church
that recently dropped to almost emptiness when my husband had meetings there
because of BJU-influence opposition. YOU CAN SEE THAT TEACHING IF YOU CLICK ON

you of DR. H.D. WILLIAMS' speech that helped me understand POSTMODERNISM and how
it has affected the Bible version issue, as well as everything else in our
lives. PASTOR MICHAEL MONTE always makes us laugh with his illustrations and
sense of humor in getting his point across in COMPARING SPIRITUAL THINGS WITH
SPIRITUAL. MR. JAMES GRUMBLATT gave us a whole different view of the fortitude
of the three Hebrew children as he spoke on RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH.
WAS AMAZED AT DANIEL WAITE'S CONTINUING SERIES CALLED "DBS--THEN AND NOW." We
saw & heard the men speak. Some are "with the Lord" now. THERE WERE MORE
SPEAKERS--but must stop! I must run! MUST SAY THIS: We were absolutely
thrilled to view the DVD of DR. J. A. MOORMAN's summary of research he is doing
called, "Introduction to the Manuscript Digest of the New Testament." How good
to see him after all these years! The DVD is for a gift of $15.00 + $3.00

WANT TO TELL YOU ABOUT OUR DEAR FRIEND, MRS. JANE HOLLOWOOD, WHO IS CLOSE TO
HEAVEN'S PORTALS, WAITING FOR HER PERSONAL "HOME CALL." She is Dr. M. J.
Hollowood's widow and DBS SPEAKER DAVID HOLLOWOOD'S mother. He spoke so
lovingly of her in his talk to us there in HAGERSTOWN. The other day Dan &
Tamie Waite, as well as their daughter, Anna (our granddaughter), visited the
nursing home. How blessed they were by this Christian woman still teaching and
witnessing from her bed of suffering. Mrs. Hollowood lives a few hours from us
