THESE ARE PERILOUS TIMES!
CHRISTIANS MUST BE VIGILANT
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our
Lord, nor of me his prisoner; But be thou partaker of the afflictions of
the gospel according to the power of God.

"BUT THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD...
Our Summer is Past
To tell you the truth, I have so much to tell you after a silence of not
writing you since June, that I am bursting at the seams! We had such a
busy summer!--and now a FULL autumn! I am sure you are busy, too. I am
having a terrible time trying to catch-up from it all. ARE YOU? One of
the reasons I can't seem to write this UPDATE to you is that I keep
getting sick! I think that particular siege has passed. Another reason
for my writing delay is my husband, Dr. D. A. Waite, has been recovering
from his recent hip-replacement surgery. His six weeks of restrictions
have passed. Thank you for your prayers and for your care. Praise the
LORD he is doing very well!
"HEAL ME, O LORD, AND I SHALL BE HEALED; SAVE ME, AND I SHALL BE SAVED: FOR THOU ART MY PRAISE."

GOD ANSWERED PRAYER FOR HELP
Right up there with special BFT news is how God has answered our prayer
for a helper here in the BIBLE FOR TODAY office. Remember how I asked
you to send $1000 to help us finance such help? Well you did. I should
say HE did. You and some of your friends were burdened. (Not a whole
tribe of people, but enough funds to encourage our hearts.) The Lord gave
us ALAN to help, not only in shipping but also in some of the office
work. Also FRED, a teenage friend, worked for us during the summer. What
a blessing! PLEASE CONTINUE TO SEND YOUR OFFERINGS TO COVER THIS "HELP."
I have a personal suspicion that kind, sympathetic people will be
sending their extra funds to the poor hurricane victims so Christian
ministries like ours will be forgotten. This happened to us after 9/11
when we had to let our son, Don, go because we could not pay his salary.
He is a wonderful researcher, as you know, and the author of the
definitions and notes in the DEFINED KING JAMES BIBLE (BFT#3000M @ $35+$5
S&H or BFT#3000L @ $40 +$7.00 S&H).So I beg you not to forget us. He is
also the author of The Doctored New Testament (BFT #3138 @ $25.00 + $5
S&H). THANK YOU.
THE 27th DEAN BURGON SOCIETY MET IN TORONTO
The twenty-seventh annual gathering of the DEAN BURGON SOCIETY IN
TORONTO, CANADA was hosted by Pastor & Mrs. Gary LaMore. The women of
his church out-did themselves with three meals a day for all of us. You
try it sometime--not an easy job. I want to tell you about the speakers
but am not sure that I'll have room in this letter to do so. Most of
these messages are available on video, audio/or DVD. Call us for
information.
CONFERENCE IN NEW YORK STATE
Then in early August, the first week to be exact, Dr. Waite was the
week's speaker at the CHRISTIAN LAKE BIBLE CONFERENCE IN STRATFORD, NEW
YORK. By request, he spoke on "The Seven Churches of Revelation." I hope
you get those video's (BFT #3251VCR @ $15.00+$5.00 S&H) or audios (BFT
#3151/1-3 @ $9.00+$2.00 S&H). I always enjoy the quietness of that place,
the beauty of the lake, and the simplicity of the cabin which is named THE
GALlLEAN REST. The only clutter in the cabin is what we bring with us.
CHECK THE BIBLE FOR TODAY BAPTIST CHURCH WEB PAGE
The little cabin is a refreshing change to the large, FULL house we
have here in Collingswood. As you know, our house is not only our home
for the past forty years, but also it houses our BIBLE FOR TODAY
MINISTRY. It is full of offices and books and Bibles and people. COME
SEE US SOMETIME! Then it is here at 900 Park Avenue where our BIBLE FOR
TODAY BAPTIST CHURCH meets on Sunday mornings (10:00 A.M.) and afternoons
(1:30 P.M.), as well as Thursday evenings (8:00 P.M.). Please look up our
church on our WEB PAGE (www.BibleForToday.Org).

A Newly Published Book of Poems .
WITH TEARS IN MY HEART
by Gertrude G. Sanborn
I AM SO PLEASED TO TELL YOU THAT MY MOTHER'S POEMS ARE
IN A BOOK.
The title of the book is WITH TEARS IN MY HEART (BFT #3196 @ $25.00+$5
S+H). As you may remember, my mother's name was GERTRUDE GRACE SANBORN.
Because she has been "with the Lord" since 1988, she has a "new name" in
Glory (Revelation 2:17; 3:12). NOW I don't know what her "new name" is,
so I had to use her earthly name which is embossed in gold on the cover.
I am so pleased to have this book printed. You'll never know what her
poems have meant to me, my family, and her friends, until you experience
them yourself. Now YOU, too, can be blessed. DON'T LET THIS BLESSING
PASS YOU BY!
A POEM BOOK FOR THE HAND & THE HEART
With a Spiritual Message Especially For You
You'll be delighted to know that this precious 414-page-book of poems
by my mother is just the right size. It is 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches
by 1 1/4 inches. It can be held comfortably in the hand. You'll want to
use it for devotional reading, for sermon preaching, or for get-well
cards. It is just the size one would want for a poetry book! PLEASE GET
ONE FOR YOURSELF AND FOR YOUR FRIENDS.
SPECIAL QUANTITY PRICES
I want you to have this book, TEARS IN MY HEART (BFT # 3196 @ $25.00+$5.00
S&H) but I cannot give it to you free for it was very expensive to have
printed but WE CAN OFFER YOU QUANTITY PRICES 2 @ $40 ($20 each) + $7 S&H
or 5 for $75 ($15 each) + $10 S&H. The good news is that you have time
NOW to order TEARS IN MY HEART for any gift-giving you are planning for
the near future. PLEASE ORDER RIGHT AWAY.
OVER FOUR HUNDRED POEMS
There are over four hundred (400) ORIGINAL poems in this collection,
with many, many Scripture verses and sketches, plus a few family
pictures. For the most part, each poem has its own page, though sometimes
one poem has two pages. IT CONSISTS OF TWENTY-SEVEN (27) FOLIOS
(chapters) on subjects such as "Tears," "The Bible," "The Incarnation,"
"The Saviour," "The Shepherd," "Calvary," "Christ's Session," "Christ's
Second Coming," and "Christ's First Coming." Then there are poems about
death & Heaven, God's will & prayer, and poems about her children, her
losses & griefs. My mother experienced sorrow with the illnesses of her
three daughters--one was hospitalized for three years, one died at the age
of twenty, and one was brain injured at birth, as well as, other life's
dilemmas. Instead of fleeing God, she ran to Him and to His Words. Take
her poems with you in your distresses and find comfort!.
A BEAUTIFUL PADDED COVER
MY PARENTS ON THEIR WEDDING DAY
TEARS IN MY HEART, (BFT # 3196 @ $25.00 + $5.00 S&H) the book, itself,
has a FRONT PADDED COVER. This is something I wanted very much and paid
extra for, in order to give the book a special "look & feel." Because of
the padding, the words, WITH TEARS IN MY HEART, embossed over my parent's
wedding picture, seem to make the front cover appear three dimensional.
Sunlight Over the Bride's Shoulder
THE SANBORN FAMILY PICTURED ON THE BACK COVER
The WEDDING PICTURE ON THE FRONT PADDED COVER IS MY PARENTS' 1923
SEPIA WEDDING PORTRAIT. The primary color--apart from the bride and groom
on the front cover--is a raspberry/pink. I am very pleased how the
sunlight comes in over my mother's left shoulder as it highlights her
wedding dress with heavenly splendor. It signified God's future blessings
on the young couple. We worked a long time to get the "look" we wanted.
On the back cover is a picture of the Sanborn family (the year was 1945).
This was my family, before I went off to Bible School and later married.
Can you guess which daughter I am?
I know you will not only appreciate WITH TEARS IN MY HEART (BFT # 3196
@ $25.00+$5.00 S&H) for yourself, but also as you read the poems, you will
think of others and their "tears." To tell you the truth, we, in the
family--who have worked through the years on those precious poems--could
only do so many poems at a time, for they touched our hearts just like
Mother will touch your heart by her writings.
GGS POEMS FEATURED FOR YEARS IN THE BFT NEWSREPORT
Now They are in One Book
If you recall, my husband always featured one of GERTRUDE G.
SANBORN'S POEMS in THE BIBLE FOR TODAY NEWSREPORT years ago. Many of our
friends would ask, "When are you going to put Gertrude Sanborn's poems in
a book?" Well, now we have them in a darling book--at great expense, I
might add. We've done this, not only as a memorial to my mother, but FOR
YOUR SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT.
YOU WILL DISCOVER THAT GERTRUDE SANBORN WAS NO ORDINARY POETESS.
A FRIEND'S COMMENTS ABOUT THE POEMS
TEARS IN MY HEART will make a wonderful gift for your dearest
friends!
I must tell you what a dear friend of mine said when she received the
book. My friend was overjoyed with the size of the book. She said, "It
is just the size that I like." She called me on the telephone and said,
"There is nothing left in the emotions of life that are not covered in your mother's poetry."
THE WORD OF GOD WAS MOTHER'S HIGH TOWER WHEN TRIALS CAME INTO MOTHER'S LIFE, SHE RAN TO THE WORD OF GOD--HER
"HIGH TOWER" (Psalm 144:2). All of this spiritual assistance, her
prayers, her fears, her praise, and her devotion to Jesus Christ poured
from her heart into poetry. She wrote about Calvary's love, her desire
to serve the Lord, her children, her griefs, her bitterness, her family,
her husband, her parents, and the world around her.
YOU SEE, THERE WERE THREE DAUGHTERS BORN TO GERTRUDE AND REN SANBORN
AND EACH ONE HAD A DRASTIC DISEASE OR MENTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. The
firstborn, YVONNE, at age three had a bone disease that put her into a
hospital bed for three years, the third-born. BEVERLY became mentally
retarded at birth. The second-born, AUDREY, died at the age of twenty of
Hodgkin's disease--cancer of the lymph glands. Then later in their
marriage, Gertrude's husband, my father, lost his leg. Instead of defying
God and cursing His Name, my parents ran to Him and found comfort and
peace in the midst of their tribulations. I know you will be blessed by
these poems and the accompanying Scripture verses. They will move you
like few poems have moved you in your whole lifetime.
"THEY SHALL MOUNT UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES. . .
DID YOU SEE A RECENT ANNOUNCEMENT ON OUR WEB PAGE?
On Tuesday August 9, 2005, Pastor, Bible teacher, and author D. A.
Waite, Th.D., Ph.D., underwent left hip replacement surgery at Cooper
University Hospital. Dr. Waite is the president of the Dean Burgon
Society, founder and director of the Bible For Today, and pastor of the
Bible For Today Baptist Church.
Acclaimed pioneer in joint replacement surgery, Eric Hume, M.D., says
the procedure went smoothly with no surprises. Using his cutting-edge
anterior technique, Dr. Hume extracted the original part and installed a
state-of-the-art ceramic replacement in a mere one hundred minutes. Given
Dr. Waite's excellent over-all health and dogged determination, Hume
predicts Waite will "bounce back" quickly in about six weeks.
On the evening of Friday August 12, Dr. Waite returned to his residence
where he ascended a fifteen-step flight of stairs, using only the railing
for support. Although he continues to improve steadily, he is anxious to
return to his vigorous schedule as soon as possible. Please continue to
pray for his complete recovery.
DR. WAITE IS RECOVERING WELL
Praise the Lord!
Perhaps I should begin to tell you that since my husband's left hip
replacement surgery on August, 9th, Dr. Waite is doing very well. You are
right when you surmised that on August 27th, we didn't have a big
celebration for our FIFTY-SEVENTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. Also Berea High
School (OHIO) sixtieth reunion for the class of 1945 had to pass us by.
Pastor Waite's recovery seems remarkable to me. After his hospital
stay, he was not supposed to ride in a car--something about not sitting
past ninety degrees--so an ambulance brought him home. He got off the
stretcher, and immediately walked up the stairs to our bedroom. He has
been walking up and down those stairs ever since. After a few days of
recuperation, he was using a cane instead of a walker. Now he is cane
free and learning to manipulate his new, pain-free left hip. The only
problem he has had was that his leg, the one that was operated on, was
swollen and he has had to wear a Jobst stocking. Putting that stocking on
was a major procedure, at first. Finally I've conquered the
contraption! Best of all, using the Jobst stocking has lessened the
swelling. Hopefully wearing it will soon be a thing of the past.
"THEY SHALL RUN, AND NOT BE weary. . ."
Powerful Katrina Nahum 1:3: . . .the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the
storm.
GRATEFUL TO BE SAFE
Of course all of us are in shock over the dreadful destruction in the
wake of HURRICANE KATRINA. From the television pictures, it certainly
looked like a war zone. I guess it was selfish of me, but one morning
after viewing the utter destruction left in the wake of Katrina, I was so
very thankful to God that I had not been in any of those gulf-coast states
when the storm hit. My husband was recovering from major surgery with
many rules to follow for that surgery to be a success. What would we have
done? What happened to the men in New Orleans with the same physical
problems or worse?
For some reason, the Lord permitted me to be sick with bronchitis and
another illness when my husband came home from the hospital. As the first
days of his recovery progressed, I became weaker and weaker. Our son,
Dan, was wonderful to us in caring and seeing that we ate. He helped in
other ways, too. Then our daughter from far away came and took care of
both of us. Everyone should have a daughter like ours! What if we had
been in the hurricane disaster? What about those more ill than we?
THE ELDERLY & DYING IN WHEELCHAIRS
We viewed elderly men and crippled women in wheelchairs and saw the
frightened infirmed pulled along the flood waters by relatives. Some
were left to die at the side of the roads. A few were left to drown in
immersed nursing homes with no rescuers in sight. Some died in hospitals.
Others were taken to the morgue so they could die in peace. How awful!
I watched a man find a small item from his destroyed home. He burst into
tears at such recognition. My heart went out to all those people! Even
Mississippi's Senator Trent Lot's one-hundred-and-eighty-year-old house
was destroyed. He said that the first couple of days he didn't know what
to do himself.
FOLKS DESTITUTE AND STARVING
The poor folk in flooded New Orleans, with no help, were destitute and
starving. We could all see this on the television. If the TV reporters
and their cameramen could get into the flooded areas, why couldn't basic
supplies reach them also? A storm of such magnitude is difficult to
comprehend. The reporters kept saying that the destruction was "of
Biblical proportions." The distraught, destitute people in New
Orleans--the ones who obeyed the instructions--went to The Dome. Soon
after they arrived, the basic necessities of life, which we call modern
conveniences, failed. Soon, there was no water, no food, and no emergency
supplies for everyday living. Why weren't there auxiliary generators for
lights? Why weren't police or the national guard standing by their sides
for protection?
THE LEADERSHIP TOO LAID-BACK
Perhaps the recently resigned FEMA man named Brown, was incompetent--I
don't know. It appeared that way to us TV News watchers. Yet, reflecting
upon the previous, recent hurricane in Florida, his rescue-help
functioned. Could it be that the FEMA man was just as weak in the
previous hurricane as in New Orleans, but the leadership from Florida's
governor was better than that from Louisiana? President Bush took the
blame for the delayed help. In my opinion, the leaders in New Orleans
were too laid- back. They honestly did not know what to do. If they had
known, they would have done it! The storm overwhelmed the country.
Psalms 46
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. . .Be still, and know that I am God. . ."
ORDER JFW RADIO TAPE ON THE HURRICANE,
FLOODS, SIN & MARDI GRAS
(JFW/69 @ $4.00 + $1.00 S&H).
About the time of such destruction, it was the day for me to make four
more "JUST FOR WOMEN" radio tapes (JFW/69). As I meditated--asking God
what I should say to my radio women, I remembered our visit to New Orleans
in 2001. It had been a birthday trip for me in early February of that
year. I had wanted to visit the D-Day Museum that had recently been
opened. (I wonder if it has been destroyed.) The day before my taping, I
had just heard the governor of Alabama encourage her people to read Psalm
46. She strengthened her faith in God with such reading and suggested we
do the same. So I read the whole Psalm to my radio listeners. It spoke
to my heart. I reflected on our tour-bus's riding up and down the streets
of the city back then. Those were the very streets that were being
destroyed before our eyes. I remembered being told of the low-water
table. I mentally compared it to the Netherlands' fight to keep her land
dry. I reflected upon the "shot-gun" houses. I was seeing them on
television--those very houses were flooded by filthy waters. I remembered
the sin of the city and the pagan Mardi Gras parades and drunken
celebrations. So I did four programs on New Orleans' recent destruction.
Since composing the above, our country has been smitten with HURRICANE
RITA. Huge evacuations from Houston and Galveston fled the storm by cars,
buses, & planes. Sadly, tragedies met some on the roadways. More people
displaced, more rebuilding of land and lives. I WONDER HOW MANY KNOW
JESUS CHRIST AS PERSONAL SAVIOUR? "THEY SHALL WALK, AND NOT FAINT."
CAROL ANN BRADFORD ASSASSINATED
A Defender of the Words of God
Perhaps you knew Carol Ann Bradford. She was a pharmacist at a
supermarket in Vineland, New Jersey. I understand she knew her craft well
and aided many customers in that store. She was well-liked, friendly and
kind. She was a private person. She did not broadcast her good works.
Truthfully, I never saw Carol Ann at work. I did not know her as a
pharmacist. I knew her as a friend. I knew her as a loving daughter, a
good sister, and an adoring aunt. I knew her as a person who came to our
church. I knew her as an eager Christian who loved Jesus Christ and
wanted to get to the truth concerning God's Words. I knew her as a
cheerful giver to the ministry and a determined Christian. I knew her as
a defender of the Words of God. She was as sweet a girl as anyone you'd
want to meet; but her death was not sweet. It was senseless!
A MADMAN WALKS INTO THE STORE
Suddenly, without warning, this private person became known to all.
Her name was blazed on the television. Her death was splashed on the
screen for all to see. Her private life was hurled into the face of just
about anyone who happened to be listening. Carol Ann would not have liked
that. She was a private person--a proper woman from a proper family.
Suddenly on a certain Tuesday night at the end of September, 2005, a
madman walked into her store and, with deliberate thought, shot my friend,
Carol Ann Bradford, age thirty-seven. Her present earthly world ended!
It will never be the same for the rest of us either.
Yes, I said "shot"!--as with a gun. How could such a thing happen to
such a dear woman of no guile? Death is no respecter of persons! How
could a man be so demented that he would kill a beautiful person who
didn't even know him? How could life stop so suddenly and time stop for
my friend? We do not know "how" and we certainly don't know "why."
THE STALKER ACTS & KILLS
You see, Carol Ann had a stalker--yes I said a "stalker." She did not
know it. The family did not know it. The store did not know it. The
police did not know it. I don't even want to give you his name. He is
not worth mentioning. As far as I'm concerned he is just a prison
number. He is literal proof of the depravity of an unregenerate man. "They"said
he was a quiet man. What do "they" really know about anybody? Perhaps it
was this quiet stealthing ability that aided his sleuthing and stalking my
unsuspecting friend, Carol Ann. I guess he fancied himself "in love" with
the pharmacist. She probably smiled at him as she gave him his
prescriptions. I do not know. In his perverted brain, he realized that
he could not "have" her. So he concocted a plan. He purchased two
38-caliber pistols, according to the paper, and aimed those deadly,
legally-bought weapons at my friend. Ten times, he pulled the trigger,
holding a gun in each hand. How? Why? What for? Yes, the "secret
things" are only known to the LORD (Deuteronomy 29:29).
Carol Ann's Search for the Words of God
One Sunday morning, a few years ago, in the American Baptist church
that Carol Ann had attended all of her life, the only place of worship her
family knew, a new minister to the congregation began to read the
"bible." At least he said he was reading the "bible." Carol Ann could
not follow his reading. That clergyman's "bible" was different from hers.
It was THE NEW AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION. The words were changed, the
meanings were different, and there were verses left out in his "bible"
that were in hers. That was the day that Carol Ann Bradford was
introduced to the Bible-version-controversy in her church. That was the
day she met the controversy head on and began to investigate!
AN UNEXPECTED MEETING WITH AN EVANGELIST
Perplexed, Carol Ann began to study the diverse Bible-version problem.
After an unexpected meeting with EVANGELIST CHUCK COFTY, who was holding a
series of meetings in a nearby independent Baptist church in a close-by
South Jersey community, Carol's curiosity was peaked. Evangelist COFTY
held to the King James Bible as being the Words of God in English. He was
against the new versions.
CAROL ANN FINDS DR. WAITE He Taught Her about Textual Matters
Still desirous to know more truth on the subject, Carol Ann searched
the Internet. In the process of a few computer searches, she found Dr. D.
A. WAITE and THE BIBLE FOR TODAY BAPTIST CHURCH. So it was to our church
that she and her family came, breaking away from the modernistic church
with that perverted "bible." My husband taught Carol Ann the truth about
the Hebrew and Greek Texts which underlie the KING JAMES BIBLE as well as
ecclesiastical separation. He showed her how the NEW AMERICAN STANDARD
VERSION's Greek Text of the United Bible Societies was 2,886 words shorter
than the Textus Receptus Greek that underlies our King James Bible. Carol
Ann found out from Dr. Waite that there were over 4,000 examples of
dynamic equivalence where the translators of the NASV added, subtracted,
and/or omitted Hebrew or Greek Words from Genesis to Revelation. She
learned that there were 356 doctrinal passages where their Greek text was
incorrect in doctrine. Her eyes were opened and life was never the same
for her.
PASTOR FRANKLIN DISCOVERED
One day my friend was listening to the radio and discovered a preacher,
PASTOR MARK FRANKLIN. He had a church closer to the Bradfords. They had
been traveling one hour to come to our BIBLE FOR TODAY BAPTIST CHURCH
every Sunday and every Thursday night. Carol Ann attended when she was
not working. When they came to my husband to say goodbye, it was hard.
They said Pastor Franklin used the King James Bible and his church was
closer. We missed her and loved her. We were grateful they told us why
they were leaving and didn't just evaporate like many others do. Our
blessings went with her and the family. We missed her and them. Her
parents continued attending our Thursday prayer and Bible study for many
months afterwards.
A LARGE FUNERAL AND OUTPOURING OF LOVE
My husband and I attended her funeral. The line was longer than long.
I've been told that 719 names were listed in the memory book, and many
did not sign. The day was cool. We saw people we knew but hundreds of
people we didn't. They all knew Carol Ann. What an outreach of love from
one's community towards a Christian woman silenced in the prime of her
life.
CONTEMPLATING HEAVEN AS A PLACE
As I looked at the coffin with the shell of our dear friend, I thought
of the joy she must be experiencing to be in Heaven with her Saviour. I
don't know much about Heaven, having never been there; but I do know that
Jesus said He was preparing "A PLACE" (John 14:1-3) for His own. It is
comforting to know that Carol Ann is in that "PLACE." I know the Apostle
Paul declared to be "absent from the body" meant to be "present with the
Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8). Just think, Carol Ann is present with
Jesus. Who could ask for anything more?
THE DEFINED KING JAMES BIBLE WAS CAROL ANN'S BIBLE
At the foot of the coffin was a Bible stand with an open Bible turned
to Lamentations 3:22-23. Someone said they were Carol Ann's favorite
verses. As I looked intently at the Bible, I realized that it was THE
DEFINED KING JAMES BIBLE published by the BIBLE FOR TODAY. I could see
the footnotes at the bottom that explained difficult words. That was the
Bible Carol purchased from us when she attended our church. That is the
Bible our ministry has been publishing for seven years. There are 57,000
in print today and distributed all over the world.
Carol Ann read Her Bible Every Day
using Dr. Waite's Plan of Reading 85 Verses a Day
to Finish Genesis thru Revelation in one year.
Today when I called Mrs. Bradford to see how they were, she related
that Carol Ann read her Bible everyday--that very Bible I saw at her
feet. Then she said, "Carol Ann read eighty-five verses every day--even
the day, that very day, that she had died." That means the morning of her
death--the day God snatched her away from us, Carol Ann read Hosea 8:5 to
Amos 1:6. She used the YEARLY BIBLE READING SCHEDULE my husband put
together years ago. That plan is laid out in the Defined King James
Bible. Hundreds of people read YEARLY the Bible, with my husband, using
that plan. Carol did. Maybe you do, too.
THE UNTOLD STORY TOLD
I can't help but wish that someone had told those hundreds of friends
at the funeral parlor about Carol Ann Bradford's journey from modernism to
fundamentalism and from the NEW AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION to the KING
JAMES BIBLE. But, nobody did. My husband would have--if he had been
asked. That is why I'm telling you all about it now because it is a story
that must be told. It is a part of the fiber of Carol Ann Bradford's
adult Christian life. Her stand for the Words of God in the KING JAMES
BIBLE was a glorious position of faith and practice! Even in the silence
of the public viewing at the funeral home, THE DEFINED KING JAMES BIBLE,
at the foot of her person, silently said it all without a spoken word!
Perhaps
By Gertrude Grace Sanborn
Perhaps He has for you a place
Where you may show His special grace;
A place where trust quite pure and sweet
May be displayed in rest complete;
And at this place He has some soul
Whom you may comfort and console,
Someone alone, afraid, and sad
That you can by your faith make glad;
Because you suffered once and wept,
But did His way and will accept.
So in your present place of trial
Cling to the Father all the while;
Believe the Word, He cares for you,
And has some work that you can do.
