Dear Prayer Partners,

1 Corinthians 15: 3, 4 "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."

What a precious truth those verses preach! Sadly the local paper carried editorials by four of the clergy at Easter and only one gave anything close to a gospel message. Surprisingly it was the pastor of the charismatic Baptist Union church. The other three (Uniting, Catholic, and Anglican) had only a social message of tolerance, peace, and love. One of the paper's journalists wrote an article seeking to explain why Mary Magdalene wrote the Gospel of John. The article was out and out heresy to say the least and demanded a rebuttal, which David wrote. We trust the Lord will use this to reach someone in this religious but lost city.

April saw David get another year older. A BIG THANK YOU to those who sent cards. David King is back at least for awhile. He is the young lad from Queensland who is working for a "Christian" group called Cornerstone here in Dubbo. We trust he will be able to stay in Dubbo permanently but Cornerstone has an operation several hours south of Dubbo where he has been working the past month. Andy and Ellen Thompson have begun attending the services. In spite of his bad health Andy has managed to make most of the services. We also continue the weekly Bible studies with them. We just finished a series of eight lessons given to us by Mid-Brook Baptist in Cleveland. These were a very basic study which was just what Andy and Ellen needed. We have now started Basic Bible Truths by Ralph Burns. We have used these before and find them good.

The Dubbo (fair) Show is 18-20 May. Pray the Lord will use this outreach to reach souls for Christ. We will be showing the very old but good creation science videos from Moody Science plus a couple of Kent Hovind videos. We have tracts and Gospels of John and Romans ready for distribution. We received a fax from Immigration in April giving the Trumbles approval for another two years. We praise the Lord for this. Bennett family news is we have two more grandchildren coming into the world this year. Becky and Rob are expecting their third in June and Matthew and Allyson are expecting their second in October. So next year when we are back for our mini-furlough we will get to see these two new additions along with the other five grandchildren. Then on 15 September Jonathan and Lynne will be united in marriage. Our youngest son, Matthew will be flying over to be Jonathan's best man. Then in October Pastor and Mrs. Van Kleeck will be visiting for two weeks. This will be their first visit to the field. We include our 2002 mini-furlough schedule again so you might pray for the churches and us.
